L1: PSG dominates the field, Højbjerg tops the rest… The TOP 30 salaries revealed!

As it does every year, L’Equipe has published the Ligue 1 salary figures. Here are the highest-paid players in the French league in 2026!

On Wednesday, L’Equipe unveiled the rankings of the highest earners in Ligue 1 for 2026. Unsurprisingly, this ranking is still clearly dominated by Paris Saint-Germain. In fact, 16 players from the capital club feature in the top 20!

PSG in a league of their own

As was the case last year, Ousmane Dembélé tops the rankings. The Ballon d’Or winner leads the field with a gross monthly salary of €1.5 million. Three other players earn over €1 million a month: his teammates Marquinhos, Achraf Hakimi and Lucas Hernandez. Just behind them, Warren Zaïre-Emery rounds off the top five. Next come Vitinha, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and João Neves, who are paid €900,000 a month. Nuno Mendes, Willian Pacho and Fabian Ruiz, who earn €800,000 a month, complete the top 11.

OM pay well

The first non-Parisian player to feature in this ranking is Marseille’s Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, who earns €500,000 gross per month. This is slightly less than Bradley Barcola (€550,000), but the same as Désiré Doué and Lucas Chevalier, and slightly more than Illia Zabarnyi (€450,000) and Gonçalo Ramos (€443,500). OM is, in fact, the second-most represented club on this list with eight players featured. Alongside the Dane, the list includes Mason Greenwood, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Nayef Aguerd, Igor Paixão, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Benjamin Pavard and Leonardo Balerdi.

Lyon, Monaco, Rennes and Nice are also represented

Four other clubs have managed to secure a place in this ranking. With a gross monthly salary of €450,000, Corentin Tolisso is the only Lyon player on the list. Nice also has one player: Sofiane Diop, who earns €350,000 a month. Rennes, however, have two players: Brice Samba, on €400,000 a month, and Breel Embolo, who earns €350,000 a month. The same goes for Monaco, with Eric Dier and Denis Zakaria rounding off the Top 30 on a monthly salary of €330,000.
