On the hunt for a new centre forward in this winter transfer window, Juventus Turin has failed to sign Jean-Philippe Mateta and Youssef En-Nesyri. The Italian club now wants to try to re-sign Randal Kolo Muani, currently on loan to Tottenham from PSG.

Randal Kolo Muani (27) may not be done with Italy yet. On loan this season from Paris Saint-Germain to Tottenham, the French striker’s name has been linked with Turin again in recent hours. Juventus, impressed by his performances last season, are reportedly ready to reopen negotiations.

Kolo Muani struggling in London

In the second half of the 2024-2025 season, Kolo Muani rediscovered his form in the Bianconeri shirt (10 goals and 3 assists in 22 games). After six difficult months at PSG, he quickly settled into life in Turin, to the point of considering a permanent move. But things did not go as he had hoped: Paris and Juve never reached an agreement for a permanent transfer.

In London, where he was loaned out without an option to buy in the final hours of the summer transfer window, the picture is much less rosy. The former Nantes player is going through another difficult period. The only bright spot this season was a brace against PSG (3-5 on 26 November) in the Champions League, which opened his account with Spurs. Since then, nothing. This drought has not escaped the attention of Juventus.

Juve makes its move

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Old Lady has been inquiring about the French international’s situation in recent hours. Currently fifth in Serie A, Juventus is looking for a new centre forward after failing to sign Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace) and Youssef En-Nesyri (Fenerbahçe). For the time being, however, Tottenham has not given the green light to let its player leave in the middle of the season.

But things could change this week. According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the London club is suggesting that Kolo Muani could leave before the transfer window closes, especially if Spurs fail to finish in the top eight in the Champions League group stage. They are currently seventh ahead of the final matchday and a game away to Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.

Paris has not taken it well…

If the door opens, Paris will have to be convinced. And the discussions could be a little tense. For the reigning European champions, who are tied to ‘RKM’ until June 2028, the deal that fell through at the last minute with the Bianconeri last summer still sticks in their throat. In any case, Juve intends to try, Di Marzio assures us. There is no doubt that the player would welcome a return to Piedmont, having clearly pushed to stay in Turin last summer.
